Turn lived experience into working technology
Her Mindshift equips girls aged 10–18 to identify local SDG-related challenges and build practical tech solutions—apps, websites and games—that address those challenges in their schools and communities.
What we run
- Hackathons — intensive build days like our 17 July 2026 event, where 57 girls shipped SDG-aligned projects at SDG Academy, Nairobi.
- Conferences — the upcoming Her Mindshift Conference (16–20 November 2026), a full week of learning, collaboration, and showcases.
- Community & merch — ongoing support through partners, mentors, and our shop, which helps fund girls-in-STEM programming.
Her perspective
We start from what girls actually see in their schools, neighbourhoods, and families — not abstract prompts.
Her solutions
Participants design and build real prototypes — apps, sites, and games — with mentors who meet them where they are.
Her mindshift
Confidence, leadership, and a belief that technology belongs to them long after the event ends.
Built by girls, for girls
Teams of 2–4. SDGs 1, 2, 4, 5, 9, 11 and 13. Real prototypes, real pitches, real community change.
